Discrimination and Harassment Prevention Policy
FATIH KALEM INDUSTRY AND TRADE INC.;
- Respects the constitutional rights of all employees regarding Sexual, Psychological Harassment, and Discrimination and does not compromise on this matter.
- Individuals displaying such unacceptable behavior will be referred to the Disciplinary Board, and if their violations are proven after receiving their defenses, their employment contracts will be terminated immediately.
- Increasing awareness of the following concepts is of great importance for the company:
a) Sexual Harassment and Abuse: Defined as behaviors that violate personality rights protected by the Turkish Penal Code and Turkish Civil Code, or create a disturbing work environment/disrupt workplace order, constituting a crime requiring imprisonment or contrary to morality and good faith rules, based on gender or sexual orientation.
b) Psychological Harassment (Mobbing): Systematically and continuously applying psychological, and even physical, aggressive behavior to undermine an individual’s self-confidence. In other words, it is to force, intimidate, and weary a person declared undesirable by one or more individuals in the workplace by excluding them or subjecting them to verbal or physical harassment.
c) Discrimination: Unjust behaviors that result in someone being treated worse than others based on their gender, race, skin color, religion or belief, political opinion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or national, social, or ethnic origin.
Employees with concerns or complaints on these matters can leave their complaints in suggestion/complaint boxes or directly contact the FATIH KALEM Human Resources Department.
